WELCOME….. to a unique home from home English Language Learning experience in Ireland with Lakelands Language Equestrian School.

Lakelands Language Equestrian School (LLES) is a family run business in Ireland under the direction of Jenny, Mark and family along with a number of staff. LLES will provide a fantastic opportunity to improve your English language skills and Horse back Riding

Course Options - (to be reviewed again for 2023...)

LLES can provide various options:- (Option 1) 15hrs English language lessons with TEFL qualified teacher plus 15hrs Horse Riding per week, or (Option 2) enjoy our week long (Tuesday - Saturday) fun filled Horse Riding Camp experience. You can also choose your accommodation:- (Option A) with a carefully selected Host Family with children of a similar age. Rooms can be individual or shared. Each student is treated like a member of the host family.  Or (Option B) stay with other students at LLES family home with their 5 children of various ages on the Equestrian Complex were you can also benefit in terms of language and cultural exposure during your trip. LLES will also provide other fun Activities for all students including: - Kayaking, Rounder’s, Adventure parks, Bowling, Karting, Tennis, Canoeing and Irelands largest Water Park plus lots lots more while making life-long friends.

Great Location

Its location is situated in the beautiful rural Mid-West of Ireland and located 3km from the North tip of Lough Ree which is 32KM long and is one of the river Shannon’s three main lakes. This much-indented lake lays claim to the geographical centre of Ireland. It is also 3km from Lanesboro village and 9km from Roscommon town. LLES is linked with Roscommon Equestrian Centre which was established in 2003 and is approved by AIRE (Association of Irish Riding Establishments) and was the first equestrian centre in Ireland to be approved by Fálite Ireland (Irish Tourist Board). Roscommon Equestrian Centre was also voted as one of the top ten equestrian centres in Ireland.

Make New Friends

A unique element of the home from home experience is living and speaking English with an Irish Host family and their children in an English-speaking environment. Also the accommodation at LLES is within a Family home at the horse riding centre. The modern bedrooms with bathrooms can, in dormitory rooms sleep up to 4 in bunk beds and there will be a mixed nationality in each room to also encourage English speaking and cultural experience. Both options create an environment of learning about Irish culture, and of course to have fun and possibly make long-lasting friendships with your Irish family. The LLES home is a working farm with some organic veg, fresh baked breads, free range eggs from our own chickens, plus there are other pets e.g. cat’s, dogs and of course horses and the Equestrian Complex with Tack Shop and Stables is right at the front door! There is also a village, shops, tennis court and lake etc. less than 3km away.
