Where do we meet at Dublin Airport?

If you have selected transportation then we will meet you at Arrivals meeting point. See meeting point maps – Terminal 1 or Terminal 2. We will be holding a LLES (Lakelands Language Equestrian School) welcome sign.

What happens if we miss transfer or select other transport?

You must use public transport. A public bus will take you direct from the Airport to Longford bus/train station (2½ hrs). We can collect you from the station (€20 each way). See link attached. 

How much spending money do I need?

Nothing!! Everything is taken care of. The package is all inclusive! But you may want to bring some spending money for shopping, gifts, souvenirs and sweets etc.

Is there Wi-Fi Access?

Most students bring their phones or ipads with internet access. But Wi-Fi will be available for all students to contact their families in all host family homes.

Do we get a certificate?

Yes a certificate is presented at the end of the course.

What happens on Sundays?

We will journey to the airport early in the morning for Departures and pick up Arrivals every week. Every other Sunday is your own time to relax, go shopping or do activities with your Irish Host Family.

What time are pick-up and departure flights?

Pick-up’s are on Sunday between 10am – 4pm and Departure flights must be between 11.30am – 6pm Sunday.

Is there a laundry service?

Yes if required a laundry service is done once a week on a Sunday or discuss with your Host Family

What horse riding equipment must I have?

Jodhpurs (Riding Trousers), Riding boots, Riding hat and if you want to jump you need a Body Protector.

What is a typical Day?

Typical Day schedule with Host Family:

Morning Wake up, and have breakfast with host family.
09.00 Transported by host family to Lakelands Language Equestrian School.
09.30 / 12.30 *3hrs English Lessons with a qualified teacher with a TEFL qualification.
12.30 / 14.00 Lunch with all students and Staff at Lakelands Language Equestrian School
14.00 / 17.00 3hrs Horse Riding– doing lots of different activities and riding a pony/horse everyday:                     Pony Games / Grooming / Hack / Show Jumping / Cross-country / Lots of fun.
17.30 Collected by Host Family
Evening Free time for shower. Phone home etc. Tea, fruit, drinks
Dinner with Host Family
Relax and Socialise with family.
Evening Snack – Hot chocolate, Tea etc.
